Here are some frequently asked questions that might help you make a more informed decision before joining us on one of our hunts.
A: You can book a hunt either through e-mail or contacting Larry at the number listed on the Contact Us page.

Q: How much is required to book a hunt?
A: 1/2 down is required to hold a date, and the remainder is due upon arrival.

Q: How soon should I book my hunt?
A: It is important to book your hunt as soon as possible to secure the dates you want. The closer it gets to hunting season the faster the slots fill up, and there are only a handful of each hunt.
 

Q: Will I need a hunting license?
A: Yes. You can find the information you will need at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/licenses/

Q: Do you provide rifles?
A: We can provide rifles if the need arises. We understand that most often unforeseen events prevent hunters from hunting with their own gun, if you do know you will need a rifle in advance, please let us know so we can make sure to have the equipment ready.

Q: Are your hunts guaranteed?
A: We can guarantee an 8 point of any class under normal circumstances.

Q: Do you have a range to sight in rifles?
A: Yes, we have an area on the ranch to sight in your rifles and prepare for the hunt.

Q: Is Hunter-Orange required?
A: No. The ranch is private property and not subject to certain regulations and requirements of publicly hunted lands.
 

Q: What are accommodations like during the hunt?
A: The hunters house in a 2 bedroom 1 bath bunk-house with a separate cook-house and guide accommodations.

Q: What are the meals like?
A: All meals are home cooked and prepared on site.You will dine in a relaxed atmosphere on variety of Southern favorites.
 


Q: Do I need to bring bedding or other toiletries?
A: No. We provide all bedding, you will only need to bring your clothes and other personal items desired for your comfort.

Q: Do I need snake-boots or chaps?
A: That is up to you. There are snakes, but most hunts take place during the late fall/winter season so snakes are not a big problem.
 


Q: What is the weather like?
A: While this is Texas, it is west Texas, so there is a chance of snow and fairly cold temperatures in late November and December. We suggest you check the weather close to the time of your hunt and pack accordingly.

Q: When is the best time to hunt?
A: This is a hard question to answer, yet one that is often asked, it really depends on your hunting preference and what your comfortable with. If you want our opinion, it is always the best time to hunt in west Texas.

Q:Do you have a physical address to type into a GPS?
A: Not at this time, but we are working on adding a map to this site that will make us easier to find.
